I’m not necessarily what you would call “the outdoorsy type”. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy outdoor sports, picnics, and even the occasional camping trip. Mountains, beaches, deserts, plains, and forests are all okay with me, but when it comes down to it, I can only take so much of the elements. Eventually I prefer the comforts of an indoor space. Even at my most imaginative, I cannot fathom living in a tent all the time.
At the same time, I’ve seen pictures of modern-day nomadic dwellings, and some of them are pretty elaborate, so maybe the early patriarchs were likewise inclined. But something tells me it was pretty rough going.
